We recently led a Bioenergy Study Tour to Europe to show our Kalfresh farming partners how farmers in Denmark, Germany and the UK have integrated bioenergy production into their businesses.

The growers from the Scenic Rim and Bowen met with European farmers, equipment manufacturers and energy specialists to learn more about the system Kalfresh Bioenergy building at Kalbar.

Bioenergy from agriculture marries food and energy production to improve soils, build resilience for farmers and produce a versatile homegrown renewable natural gas and bio-fertiliser.

We asked some of the Queensland growers for their thoughts on the opportunities and what they saw.
