The Scenic Rim Agricultural Industrial Precinct (SRAIP) is a new home for food and beverage manufacturing just one hour from Brisbane and powered by a unique closed-loop bioenergy plant, which will convert agricultural and food waste into renewable power, renewable gas and biofertiliser.

The 40ha site features 16 freehold rural industrial lots, including the new Kalfresh Bioenergy plant and Kalfresh’s existing production and processing facilities. This co-location of value-adding operations within the region where raw ingredients grow will deliver faster paddock-to-plate turnaround, operational efficiencies and a more competitive agricultural sector.

The remaining 13 freehold industrial lots, ranging in size from 0.6ha to six hectares are available and ideally suited to primary and secondary agricultural industries, such as:

• Salad and meal kit producers
• Fresh and frozen vegetable processing and packing
• Cold storage of frozen food, drink products and ingredients
• Dairy processing
• Juice and sauce production
• Canning, fermenting and bottling
• Ingredient drying and powders
• Fibre processing and manufacturing
• Seed breeding and supply
• Agricultural research, technology and innovation.
