APPROVAL & TIMELINE

This project was first conceived in 2018 to allow Kalfresh to expand and utilise production and farm waste to generate renewable electricity to power our operations. The concept has grown since then and approvals were obtained via a State Government-controlled process.

The project was declared a Qld Government Coordinated Project in May 2019 and the State team helped Kalfresh navigate the approvals and identify opportunities to enhance outcomes for the broader community and the environment.

In May 2024 the Queensland Coordinator General, Gerard Coggan, released his Evaluation Report.
